NYE-E

This is how I spent New Years Eve eve....amongst balloons, a homemade cave, pin the tail on the donkey and silly things and too much wine. Now for actual new years..ill be surrounded by rasta's and trombones in the West Indian Centre in Leeds!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Collars

On trend or not (Im most often not), I want to wear collars. Buttoned up, fancy, nice collars.
Theres many around, Ive picked up a few nice shirts recently from Wrexham/Chester Charity shops and Leeds city Market, Il post them up soon.
But here a few nice, simple collars Ive found in Topshop. With a soft autumnal/spring palette with browns..my favourite

Drugs to Jewels?

Pete Doherty, Musician, Artist, Designer? Ive seen his blood splattered paintings but didnt know his obvious creative flare stretched to Jewellery! Together with luxury jewellery designer Hannah Martin, Pete has launched a collaborative jewellery line yesterday at Joseph, consisting of 15 pieces.

" The line brings together his love of antiques and obsession with trinkets, in a 15-piece collection of cufflinks, rings, pins, chains and watch fobs that are vintage-inspired, but with a modern twist."

Interesting! And they look good too. Although Ive never been on for a man in jewellry, but pete can pretty much pull off anything..

Hazlenut syrup

So Christmas day has been and gone, it was good, usually family...silence, and talk of neighbours, extensions, WEATHER, doctors, priice of gas...blabla. Food is always my highlight, however after becoming a lazy student a huge roast only half an hour after reluctantly dragging myself out of bed was not so appealing! (heating up the left overs 3 times in the afternoon however was more my cup of tea) I actually think my highlight of the festive season was 'The only was is Essexmas' and 'The Royle Family'! Bloody amazing.
Now im in Boxing Day mode, im going to put up all of the stock (mountain biking clothing and accessories) i have for ebay, and maybe a couple of extra earners for myself including my 4 year old guitar which has probably had a weeks worth of play. Then hopefully I can treat myself to a lovely new laptop...got a lot of work to do...

to spruce?

lack of posting means im at home, ie. the very uninspiring village of Llandegla. It is very pretty here though, like a christmas card. However, i am a scrooge this year! Literally nothing will get me excited about Christmas.
Although wrexham isn't good for much...it does have good Charity shops. Had a quick rummage today and bought a couple of things. Going to wear the shirt tonight, i have a feeling it looks like the old tesco/bhs uniform..i hope im wrong. along with a velvet skirt and my new lil boooties, ha. they hurt my feet but it's worth it

Yohji

Really like this design from Yohji Yamamoto – My Dear Bomb, might have to steal the idea for a mood board or something..

Liar Liar

Just watching Liar Liar and have to express my love for Jim Carrey! He just has such good expressions, the outtakes from the film just look like he is the funniest guy to work with. This is my favourtie picture of him, taken by Annie Liebovitz. I went to her exhibition in Madrid last summer, love her work, and the whole story behind her pictures and her life, the exhibition was so personal it was like youd just met her personally.

squelchy shoes

Had SUCH a busy week, practically living in the library. However..two projects over and just one more to finish. In Garment Tech we've been making a bomber jacket, its pretty cool but I never thought itd be this confusing! Ive learnt so much though. Had quite a stressful day with the lining today but it should be all done and finished next week to put up a picture. For now, here are some snaps of us working.
